ScoutJam 2010 is the largest event in Central Texas to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting in America. We expect to draw between 10,000 and 15,000 attendees on the main event day.
 
A major part of ScoutJam is the participation from more than 100 special exhibitors who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise to educate our Scout and visiting families.  We very much appreciate your effort to join us in helping thousands of families have the exerience of a lifetime right here in Austin. There are no fees for non-profit organizations.

Display Requirements
Hands on interactive activities, not just literature booths. Scouting is a “game with a purpose” which translates to games and interactive experiences to drive home learning. Through the Scouting program youth from grade school through high school are exposed to hundreds of learning areas, from the outdoors to the latest in science and engineering careers, living history, and citizenship.

Overview
ScoutJam 2010 (www.scoutjam2010.org) is the Capitol Area Councils premier event to celebrate the Boy Scouts of America’s 100 Year Anniversary.  The Capitol Area Council serves more than 700 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams, Venture Crews and Explorer Posts throughout 15 Central Texas Counties.  Total youth served is 22,000, aided by 8,000 registered adult leaders.
10,000-15,000 Scouts, adult leaders, family members, and friends are expected to attend ScoutJam 2010 Saturday, October 9.  The public is welcome and will be invited through TV, radio and billboard campaigns during September-October.  The event is also being promoted through Scout newsletters and websites to thousands of subscribers.  Finally, campaigns beginning in August will reach youth in their schools as part of Scouting’s annual drive for new membership, yielding several thousand new members to our program.

Your contribution to this hands-on experience will enhance participation and exposure for your valuable program information.
Safety               Safe activities are a cornerstone of the Scouting program. 1.     Exhibitor agrees to complete set up by 7PM Friday, October 8 or before 8:30 AM on Saturday, October 9.
2.     Exhibitor agrees to present continuously from 9 AM to 4 PM Saturday, October 9 during the ScoutJam 2010 Midway program.
3.     Exhibitor agrees to remove all their exhibit items from the Travis County Expo Center immediately after the ScoutJam Midway Program ends at 4PM Saturday, October 9.
4.     Exhibitor agrees to follow ScoutJam Leader Manual Guidelines > http://www.scoutjam2010.org/files/ScoutJam%202010%20Leaders%20Guide%20Rev%2008092010.pdf and Boy Scouts of America Best Practices, especially when advised to do so by ScoutJam staff during the ScoutJam Midway on Saturday, October 9 2010.
