The Unit ScoutJam Champion position is a once in a lifetime opportunity for volunteers to:
- Empower Scouts in your unit to celebrate 100 years of Scout Traditions.
- Help Scouts and their families participate in a 100th Anniversary celebration that includes 15 years of Scout programs for 6 to 20-year olds.
- Guide Scouts in your unit to brainstorm and create their own hands-on exhibit of Scouting Activities. Share starter ideas such as demonstrations on pioneering, first aid, woodworking, sailing, computers, aviation, Native American Lore, Scout games, crafts, Scout skills, songs, skits, badge, belt loop and pin activities.
- Inspire your Scout unit to WOW other Scouts by creating a dynamic, hands-on interactive multi-sensory, crawl, smash, fling, lift, drop or compress activity that other Scouts will enjoy doing at ScoutJam 2010.
- Think fun, think hands on, think what your kids would want to do.
- Be the primary contact between ScoutJam event staff and your unit.

Earn This Patch to Recognize Your Service and Leadership!

One of the most recognizable 100th Anniversary programs this year is to recognize everyone’s efforts to make this a once-in-a-lifetime Year of Celebration.
The special Year of Celebration patch is available to Scouts and adult volunteers. Each of the five colored ribbons have requirements, and included among them are participation in Council events like ScoutJam 2010, and the many other activities that are being put on this year by the Capitol Area Council. What better way to work towards and wear this patch with pride than being a ScoutJam Champion for your unit!
You can purchase the patch without ribbons at the Scout shop. As you earn them, simply submit your results online and follow up with the Scout shop.
Check out the details and make this an easy reason to volunteer as your Unit’s ScoutJam Champions!
