Volunteer for ScoutJam Staff!
We expect 10,000 + people to attend ScoutJam on the big day, Saturday, October 9. ScoutJam will need plenty of full time and part-time staffers to help us with the event.
Here are two general categories of staff opportunities where you can help.
Full time staffers are those who provide 8 or more hours of cheerful service at the event and are requested to register as a staff member rather than with their unit. Full-time staff may eat with staff; food provided by the All Vigil Kitchen (AVK).
Part-time staffers, a critical group that can help with a few hours on important assignments, should register with their units and let us know your interest in helping by registering your staff plans below.
Positions are available to members of the Capitol Area Council, BSA. Youth aged 15 and above may serve on staff provided we have parent permission with current medical form. Staff_Scout_Permission_Slip.pdf
All adults need to bring their current medical form as well. Each Staff member is responsible for bringing their own camping gear. The requirements are stiff; the jobs demanding; the experience exhilarating!
A STAFF MEMBER MUST:
All potential staff positions are subject to capacity and review by those leading each area. The committee member for that area will contact you regarding your assigned duties closer to the event. Fill out the form below to register now if you’d like to help.
After you fill this out, if you are a full time staff volunteer, register and pay on the Council website. Instructions and links here: http://www.scoutjam2010.org/cms/logistics/reservations-wristbands.html
If you are a part time staffer, register with your unit. If you are not in a unit, register as staff per the instruction link above.
