Capitol Area Council Scout Museum
100 Years of Scouting means celebrating living history! See how it all began in what may well be the largest Council Scout museum in the country. It includes Scouting items from 1910 to the present. With a complete collection of Boy Scout books with every different cover put out by National and a uniform for every 10 years of scouting showing how the boys’ uniform has changed over the last 100 years, nothing is left out. We have a great display of old Boy Scout equipment, sashes, handbooks and pamphlets and many Order of the Arrow items. The museum has displays of every thing from early badges of rank to current Eagle medals. See special awards like the Silver Beaver and Silver Buffalo distinguished service awards, as well as historic Philmont and National Jamboree patches. You might see early charters and documents for your Pack or Troop from decades ago in their orignal location.
Scoutjam 2010 is proud to be a part of 100 Years of Scouting - history in the making.
